Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Concrete & Formwork Superintendent to join our team at EllisDon. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of formwork operations on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the formwork aspect of the project, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement Health & Safety protocols for the department, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Collaborate with craft team members to foster a positive and productive team environment.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of concrete principles, including mix designs, admixtures, and curing procedures, to ensure high-quality concrete placements.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations, including Turner standards and applicable codes.
  • Develop and manage schedules, determining the sequencing of work and communicating updates to clients and subcontractors.
  • Mentor project team members to promote career growth and development.
Requirements
  • Construction or technical degree or diploma in engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Extensive experience with heavy building formwork and slip forming.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to identify problems, evaluate alternative causes, and produce workable solutions.
  • Strong team leadership and mentorship skills.
