About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning Operations Manager to join our team at Jit's Building Maintenance. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of the cleaning staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify areas where additional services may be required, such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Maintain Financial Records: Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including budgets and invoices.
  • Assist Cleaners: Provide support and assistance to cleaning staff as needed, ensuring that they have the necessary resources to complete their tasks.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to ensure that cleaning and maintenance activities are coordinated and aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Develop and implement effective work schedules to ensure that cleaning and maintenance activities are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Work Site Environment: The successful candidate will be required to work in a wet/damp and dusty environment.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: The successful candidate will require flexibility, initiative, and good judgement.
  • Experience: Experience in a similar role is an asset.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week in a permanent position. The language of work is English.
