Job Title: Executive Director, Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Executive Director, Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This includes leading the nursing and allied professions, ensuring the development and adherence to professional ethics and standards of nursing and allied practice throughout the geographic area.

The Executive Director, Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer will also be responsible for the effective and economic administration of the Renal Health, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, Rehab/Geriatrics Programs and other assigned departments or services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational support to the COO
  • Lead the nursing and allied professions
  • Ensure the development and adherence to professional ethics and standards of nursing and allied practice
  • Administer the Renal Health, Urgent Care, Family Medicine, Rehab/Geriatrics Programs and other assigned departments or services
  • Contribute to the overall administration of the hospital through participation in policy setting, planning, budgetary, and quality assurance activities
  • Participate in hospital committees and inter-hospital liaison activities
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible management and leadership experience within nursing and healthcare administration
  • Experience in community health or social services preferred
  • Extensive experience in service delivery and business operations
  • Ability to lead and participate in both short- and long-term planning
  • Experience in human resource management, financial management, and quality improvement required
  • Experience with facilities management is desirable
  • Experience in program planning, development, and evaluation required
