We are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee the strategic communications for ESG and sustainability efforts. This role is pivotal in enhancing the organization's reputation as a frontrunner in social responsibility and sustainable practices. The ideal candidate will leverage media relationships and create compelling narratives to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a robust communications strategy that positions the organization as a leader in innovation access, social responsibility, and ESG, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Design and execute proactive communication plans that showcase the organization’s dedication to social impact and equitable access.
- Drive the creation of thought leadership content and storytelling that resonates with both internal and external audiences, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to access.
- Identify and engage with key global sustainability events, coordinating messaging, executive communications, and outreach efforts.
- Manage reactive communications regarding ESG matters, ensuring accurate and timely responses to media and investor inquiries, in line with the organization’s ESG commitments.
- Collaborate with Investor Relations and Financial Communications to effectively position the organization with key stakeholders.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration to ensure cohesive ESG messaging throughout the organization.
- Lead crisis management and response strategies related to ESG topics, building lasting relationships with media to support proactive communication efforts.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the evolving ESG landscape to inform strategic initiatives and ensure the organization remains a leader in sustainability and social impact.
- Utilize analytics to guide communication strategies, assess performance, and refine tactics to achieve desired outcomes, implementing measurement frameworks to evaluate the effectiveness of ESG initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Proficient in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive experience in communications, particularly in global health, sustainability, and ESG.
- Proven success in sustainability communications, with a track record of developing global strategies and enhancing corporate reputation.
- Strong relationship-building skills with media and key stakeholders in the ESG sector.
- Excellent analytical abilities to interpret data and insights for informed decision-making.
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and deliver results under pressure.
- Experience in consultancy is advantageous.
