Key Responsibilities
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products, ensuring high-quality finishes.
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions, following established protocols to maintain product integrity.
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers in completing tasks efficiently.
  • Sort and categorize metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools, demonstrating attention to detail and precision.
  • Clean and maintain machines and immediate work areas, adhering to safety standards and protocols.
  • Load and unload vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of materials.
  • Read and interpret work orders, understanding production requirements and deadlines.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
