Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze project requirements to understand the testing effort and estimate the time, resources, and budget required.
  • Develop and implement a testing strategy, defining the scope, approach, and timeline.
  • Build and lead a testing team, ensuring they have the necessary skills, attitudes, and motivation.
  • Identify training requirements and provide support to team members.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts, ensuring they meet organizational standards.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders and vendors to create and modify test cases and test scripts.
  • Review and approve test cases, ensuring they are comprehensive and effective.
  • Track and report on testing progress, identifying and escalating issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to ensure timely delivery of testing milestones.
  • Provide thought leadership and support to the team, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Experience with software quality control concepts and practices, including defect resolution processes.
  • Knowledge of test case management, requirements, and defect tracking tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with developers, business analysts, and project managers.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technology requirements and apply them in a clinical context.
  • Critical thinking skills and strong process orientation.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
Desirable Skills
  • 2+ years of experience with BC Health Authorities.
  • Testing of Microsoft products, including Teams, Exchange, and SharePoint.
  • Working knowledge of hospital/clinical systems, care delivery processes, clinical roles, policies, and standards.
  • Understanding of organizational dynamics to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate and express clinical, process, and technical problems using layperson terms.
