About the Role
The University of Ottawa seeks a dynamic and experienced instructor to lead our course, 'Administration of Artistic and Cultural Organizations I'. This course delves into the essential aspects of managing human, financial, and material resources within cultural or artistic organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate interactive discussions on topics such as organizational structure, marketing strategies, legal considerations, and contemporary best practices in the arts sector.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their assignments and encourage critical thinking about real-world challenges facing arts organizations.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters collaboration and intellectual growth among students.
Qualifications:
We are looking for an individual with:
- Advanced studies in arts administration or equivalent professional experience.
- Substantial recent experience working within arts organizations.
- Experience teaching at the university or college level, or a proven track record of delivering professional workshops in the field of arts management.
