Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SIU Investigator to join our team at Aviva. As a SIU Investigator, you will play a critical role in investigating and resolving complex claims, ensuring that our customers receive fair and timely resolutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and analyze claims to identify potential fraud and deceitful behavior
  • Develop and implement investigative strategies to detect and prevent fraud
  • Collaborate with claims advisors and other stakeholders to resolve claims in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide guidance and training to claims advisors on investigative techniques and best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
  • Participate in the development and implementation of investigative policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Conduct thorough investigations, gathering and analyzing evidence, and preparing reports and recommendations
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure that investigations are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of claims and underwriting processes to identify potential risks and opportunities
  • Stay organized and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and deliver results

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as insurance or investigation
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in claims investigation or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility
  • Strong technical knowledge of claims and underwriting processes, with the ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and a commitment to delivering results
