Reporting to the Station Manager and under the guidance of the Remedial Manager, the Remedial Operator is a class 1 (Canada) / CDL A (U.S.) driving position primarily responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of field equipment, performing shop upkeep, and supporting the operational business. This role collaborates closely with Greenhands and Bulk Drivers and is classified as a safety-sensitive position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain, and operate a pumper for each job assignment.
  • Execute proper on-site rig in (assembly) and rig out (disassembly) procedures, including mixing, pumping, pressure testing, plug drops, wash ups, final inspections, and assisting with site clean-up.
  • Cultivate a thorough understanding of all gauges on the operator panel.
  • Monitor pump pressure, rates, densities, and volumes during operations; observe and report if assistance is needed in the hot zone.
  • Conduct inspections and functional tests before equipment departs the yard, ensuring all components are operational.
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding equipment maintenance and repairs (e.g., 300-hour maintenance, greasing units, and iron treatment), submitting paperwork before the end of each shift.
  • Perform maintenance on field equipment as necessary, including pumper spring maintenance and fluid end inspections.
  • Rebuild Chiksans and Neutron valves.
  • Assist the Supervisor with job preparations and incident reporting.
  • Uphold and enforce company safety policies, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with both external and internal clients in alignment with company values and objectives.
  • Establish and uphold procedures to guarantee a high level of service.
  • Transport well servicing equipment with a trailer (pup unit) to and from well sites as required.
  • Mentor Operator 1's in obtaining their class 1 (Canada) / CDL (U.S.) license.
  • Engage in training and development initiatives.
  • Perform other general duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid class 1 (Canada) / class A CDL (U.S.) driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy objects up to 23 kg, bending, standing, gripping, sitting/driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended durations and in varying weather conditions.
  • Availability to be on call 24 hours on a 15 days on, 6 days off rotational schedule, remaining fit for duty at all times (subject to change based on market conditions).
  • Capability to work in congested or confined spaces, with exposure to loud noises and vibrations.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country where the role is based.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in oil and gas field operations.
  • Familiarity with rig in and rig out procedures, mixing and pumping, pressure tests, plug drops, wash ups, final inspections, and clean-up.
  • Knowledge of equipment and components, particularly pumping equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot.
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and required documentation.
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliability, and dependability.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • Awareness of the importance of safety.
  • Team-oriented and customer service focused.
  • Demonstrated initiative and results-oriented mindset.
