About the Role

Meldrum Meat Packers is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Meat Packer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products from raw materials to finished goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety and Handling: Maintain a high level of awareness and adherence to food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Packing and Processing: Operate and maintain packing and processing equipment, including conveyors, hoppers, and forming machines, to efficiently and effectively package products.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular checks on products and packaging to identify and address any quality defects or issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with process control and machine operators to ensure smooth production and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company standards and protocols.
Work Environment

The Meat Packer will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with exposure to odors and cold temperatures. The role requires standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and train is essential.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn the skills required for the role.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
