About the Role

We're currently searching for a Project Manager to work in a dynamic team environment with an opportunity to work from our office depending on your preference. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter with 5 years of experience in environmental site assessment and consulting services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the planning and execution of Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), excess soil, remediation projects, and related environmental studies.
  2. Prepare proposals, track budgets, control costs, and invoice clients.
  3. Liaise with contractors and clients.
  4. Approximately 30% field work.
  5. Evaluate data and propose solutions.
  6. Prepare technical reports and review technical work of other staff.
  7. Train and mentor junior staff.
  8. Gain and share knowledge through participation in technical societies and/or attendance at internal and external programs.
  9. Nurture strong client relationships and participate in business development activities.

Requirements

  1. 5 years of consulting experience in environmental site assessments, soil management, and/or remediation.
  2. University degree in a related field of study such as Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology, or Geology.
  3. Licensure or potential for licensure for a professional license in Ontario (or equivalent designation from another Province or the US).
  4. Experience conducting Phase I and II ESAs, remediation programs, excess soil management plans, remediation design, and/or hydrogeology.
  5. Understanding of applicable provincial and federal legislation and guidance documents.
  6. Experience in budget management, report preparation, and client relationship management.
  7. A motivated, self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  8. Strong organizational and time management skills as well as attention to detail.
  9. Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as advanced technical writing abilities.
  10. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.
  11. Must be comfortable in the field on construction/environmental project sites.
  12. Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and put forth creative solutions.
  13. Ability to converse and/or write in French is an asset.
