Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Virtuous Truck Lines Ltd is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, following all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Obtain Special Permits: Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate Trucks: Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Inspect Vehicles: Regularly inspect vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Record Information: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Certificates and Licenses: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook.
  • Transportation Experience: International, local, national, and provincial/territorial transportation experience.
  • Security and Safety: Valid passport, criminal record check, and driving record check (abstract).
Work Environment:
  • On the Road Job: Work on the road, traveling across the country to deliver goods and materials.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 50 to 60 hours per week.
