Director of Player Safety and Risk Management
The Director of Player Safety and Risk Management is responsible for leading the comprehensive strategy for player protection within a production environment. This role is pivotal in shaping a secure and supportive player experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Vision and Strategy Development: Formulate a strategic vision for player safety tailored to the production team's historical, current, and future requirements, aiming to establish ambitious goals that enhance community protection.
  • Communication Management: Oversee both internal and external communication strategies regarding player safety issues related to the production.
  • Standardization and Policy Definition: Collaborate in creating tracking standards and follow-up policies that facilitate project comparisons regarding player safety advancements (toxicity, security, etc.).
  • Monitoring Tools Development: Construct monitoring systems and dashboards in partnership with relevant data teams.
  • Research Initiatives: Engage in research, including collaborations with academic or industry partners, to analyze disruptive behavior patterns and their implications.
  • Annual Development Planning: Establish the yearly development agenda in conjunction with project security and safety teams.
  • Process Improvement: Work alongside production leaders to pinpoint necessary enhancements in processes to better integrate player safety education and risk mitigation.
  • Awareness Raising: Promote awareness among various services and partners regarding norms, best practices, and emerging trends or threats in the player safety domain.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive senior management experience in the online gaming sector or a related digital industry.
  • Direct experience in managing online user communities and addressing user safety concerns.
  • A profound understanding of technology, user experience, software development, and business considerations pertinent to digital environments and/or the online gaming industry.
  • An analytical mindset, comfortable in data-centric settings.
  • A strong grasp of online gaming culture.
  • A strategic approach to achieving objectives while fostering alignment in complex environments.
  • A passion for online video games is advantageous.
