About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our team at Power Steel Construction Ltd. As a Steel Stud Framer, you will be responsible for preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout and Measurement: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Material Preparation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to meet project requirements.
  • Installation: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a smooth and efficient construction process.
  • Tool Operation: Cut materials using power tools or by hand, following safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Emergency Procedures: Follow emergency and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Specialization and Experience
  • Interior Work: Focus on walls and other interior areas, including partitions, to deliver high-quality results.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: Handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and physical stamina.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week, with a permanent employment status.
