Job Summary:

Arctic Kingdom Wilderness Operations Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in Yellowknife. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with our business strategy
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process for staffing requirements
  • Manage the on-boarding and off-boarding of employees
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other employee issues
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resources management
  • Develop and implement HR Policies
  • Maintain and administer Bamboo HR
  • Manage payroll with Ceridian

Requirements:

  • More than 10 years of experience in HR
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Experience in Bamboo HR
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels in the organization
  • Extensive knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field

Working Conditions:

  • Be in good physical condition
  • Working long hours and being available for work extended periods in challenging conditions is common

Certifications:

  • Class 5 drivers license with drivers abstract
  • Criminal record check
