Job Title: Experienced Interior Designer and Decorator Wanted

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our dynamic team at Julie Charbonneau Design. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces for residential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimate cost of projects
  • Prepare detailed specifications
  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Create interior spaces that reflect clients' needs and tastes
  • Supervise staff or team
  • Read blueprint, schemas and drawings
  • Advise on selection of colours, finishes and materials, lighting, furniture and other items, taking into account ergonomic and occupational health standards
  • Consult with clients to determine needs, preferences, safety requirements and purpose of space
  • Develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting and other fixtures
  • Develop plans, elevations, cross sections and detailed drawings
  • Collaborate with specialists to develop programs for clients' special needs
  • Conduct site visits to gather relevant information

Requirements:

  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in design
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
