Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wood Assembly Specialist to join our team at Mayfair Lumber Sales. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling wood and wood products, operating machinery, and ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble wood and wood products, including stacking them for temporary storage
  • Operate machinery, such as hydraulic equipment, to facilitate assembly
  • Use pallet binding machines to stack pallet orders
  • Identify common wood species and perform quality checks on materials
  • Look out for potential problems in equipment and materials, and collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues
Requirements
  • Experience in construction or building material supplies is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours on a given work site
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs continuously and perform tasks that require bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • Strong work ethic, excellent attendance, and a commitment to safety
  • Ability to work as part of a team or individually, with a focus on quality and productivity
