Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Coast Mental Health. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide a broad range of nursing functions and direct care to clients with complex needs related to psychiatric disability, addiction, and past trauma.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric and physical assessments, crisis interventions, and medication administration
  • Implement psychosocial rehabilitation principles and strengths-based models
  • Establish and maintain rapport with clients, observing and recognizing changes in their behavior and needs
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement care plans
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized program for Licensed Practical Nurses and ability to maintain full practicing license with the BCCNM
  • Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver's License, First Aid Certificate, and Criminal Records Clearance
  • Ability to work with people with mental illness and addictions, and to establish and maintain rapport with clients
  • Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation principles, strengths-based models, and trauma-informed care
