Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Spicy Affairs Bowmanville. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Kitchen Operations Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, ensuring that they are clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Team Leadership: Manage kitchen operations, leading a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Mexican Cuisine: We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Mexican cuisine, but all applicants with relevant experience will be considered.
- Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks, and working under pressure.
- Eligibility to Work: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?
- Relocation: Are you willing to relocate for this position?
- Previous Experience: Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?
- Work Term: This is a permanent position.
- Work Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
- Hours of Work: The successful candidate will work 30 to 40 hours per week.
