Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at Conners Transfer Limited. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination: Safely drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across various routes.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicles: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle before, during, and after each trip to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Communicate with dispatch and other stakeholders: Receive and relay information to central dispatch and other stakeholders regarding trip status, vehicle condition, and any issues encountered.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate: Hold a valid CVOR certificate.
  • Air Brakes Endorsement: Possess an Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks): Hold a valid Class 1/1F/A licence.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the field: Have at least 2 years of experience in the trucking industry.
  • Excellent communication skills: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability: Be able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing situations.
