About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Journalist to join our dynamic team at Rogers Sports & Media in Edmonton. As a key member of our news team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, engaging video content that captures the essence of daily life in Edmonton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce original story ideas and concepts that showcase the diversity and vibrancy of Edmonton's communities.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to create innovative and compelling video content that stands out from the competition.
  • Shoot and edit high-quality video footage that tells engaging stories and captures the essence of our city.
  • Conduct interviews and gather information to create informative and entertaining video content.
  • Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality content for multiple platforms, including online and broadcast.

Requirements:

  • Passion for storytelling and a strong understanding of what makes a great story.
  • Ability to find and develop original story ideas that reflect the diversity and complexity of Edmonton's communities.
  • Experience in shooting and editing video content, with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of multi-platform coverage and the ability to adapt to changing news cycles.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
