About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Officer Pilot to join our team at Keewatin Air. As a First Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Flight Operations
    • Monitor the operation of engine and aircraft systems during flight
    • Perform post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft is airworthy
    • Conduct in-flight tests and monitor the functioning of aircraft equipment and systems
  • Flight Planning and Coordination
    • Co-ordinate flight activities with ground crews and air-traffic control
    • Inform crew members of flight and test procedures
    • Direct activities of aircraft crew during flights
  • Maintenance and Safety
    • Conduct pre-flight inspections of aircraft to ensure airworthiness
    • Check passenger and cargo distribution to ensure weight and balance specifications are met
    • Maintain communications with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Airline Pilot Transport Licence - fixed wing
    • Flight instrument rating
    • Multi-instrument Flight Rating
  • Education and Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a First Officer
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Organized and able to work under pressure
    • Team player with a client-focused approach
