Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Supervisor

Gaspésie Diesel Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and organized individual to supervise our team of diesel mechanics and ensure the efficient operation of our motor vehicle repair shop. The successful candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of diesel mechanics to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to team members
  • Co-ordinate and schedule activities to meet work schedules and deadlines
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Train or arrange for training to ensure team members have the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Prepare bids and proposals for new business opportunities
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a safe working environment
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a motor vehicle repair shop or similar environment
  • Strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver's license
