The Culinary Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our dining establishment. This position requires a blend of leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to quality service.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
- Exposure to various odours and wet conditions.
- Ability to work in a hot environment.
- Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules.
- Order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
- Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Recruit and hire food service personnel.
- Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
- Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
Responsible for overseeing a team of 5-10 individuals.
Safety and SecurityBasic security clearance is required for this position.
Transportation- Possession of a personal vehicle is preferred.
- Public transportation options are available.
- Fast-paced work environment requiring the ability to perform under pressure.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and engage in physically demanding tasks.
- Attention to detail is essential.
