Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our dedicated finance team. As a key member of our corporate office, you will report directly to the Controller and play a vital role in supporting our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closes.
- Assist in managing both interim and year-end audits.
- Contribute to the development of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Oversee daily accounting functions and operations.
- Support ministry reporting requirements.
- Implement and monitor internal controls, processes, and procedures.
- Identify and recommend improvements for processes, reporting, and systems.
- Engage in various ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of full-cycle accounting practices.
- Strong understanding of the senior care sector.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax regulations applicable to Canadian senior housing organizations, including a solid grasp of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
