Assistant Retail Manager Role
As an Assistant Retail Manager at Kent Building Supplies, you will be responsible for all operations throughout the store, including maintaining safety standards, delivering financial results, merchandising, and providing a first-class customer service experience. You will also develop your team members and empower them to manage multiple aspects of their businesses as if it were their own.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to company safety standards and regulations.
- Deliver financial results by managing store operations, including inventory management, pricing, and sales promotions.
- Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Develop and lead a high-performing team, empowering them to take ownership of their work and make decisions that drive business results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to improve store operations and customer experience.
Requirements
- 5 years of retail management experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on delivering a positive shopping experience.
- Ability to leverage technology for project management, analysis, and problem-solving, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to relocate for exciting advancement opportunities within the company.
- Undergraduate degree is an asset.
