Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transport Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team at Wrangler Truck Service. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of transport trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on transport trucks and trailers, including adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts and components as needed.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace units.
  • Discuss work with supervisor to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard and that any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications, and perform scheduled maintenance service as required.
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed, and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Manual dexterity, hand-eye co-ordination, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced environment, and lifting heavy objects.
