Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, taking into account customer preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Menu Development: Develop and maintain a menu that showcases a range of ethnic cuisines, including South Indian, East Indian, and Vegetarian options.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to prepare and cook high-quality dishes.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment: Restaurant or similar food service environment.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment.
