About the Role

GHD is seeking a highly skilled Urban Water Modelling Specialist to join our Integrated Water Management Business Group in Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting a team of experienced urban water modellers in delivering complex and rewarding projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and calibrate hydraulic wastewater and water distribution system models to meet design criteria.
  • Prepare detailed modelling documentation, technical memoranda, and design reports.
  • Support infrastructure planning studies, including master plans, basement flooding, inflow and infiltration studies, and more.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on water/wastewater models and methods.
  • Collaborate with senior staff on client relationships and support proposal preparation, report writing, cost estimation, and drawing preparation.
  • Work closely with service line leaders and project managers to drive business development and work sharing.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil/Water Resource Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (license is an asset).
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in conducting water resource modelling projects.
  • Advanced capability with industry-standard hydraulic/hydrologic tools/models, such as WaterCAD/WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWorks CS/ICM (1D and 2D), InfoSWMM, InfoWater, WaterGems.
  • Understanding of 3D modeling and experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D is an asset.
  • Knowledge of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) modeling would be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license in Ontario and willingness to travel within Ontario and Canada as required.
