About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team at A C Transport. As a Heavy Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on heavy trucks and equipment, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy trucks and equipment.
  • Assist mechanics with more complex repairs and provide support as needed.
  • Provide on-site services to customers, including routine maintenance and repairs.
  • Repair and balance tires on heavy trucks and equipment.
  • Replace oil, air, and fuel filters on motor vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and attention to detail.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination.
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to lift over 45 kg (100 lbs).
