Job Summary:

The Upper Canada District School Board is seeking a qualified Secondary Long-Term Occasional Teacher to join our team. As a Long-Term Occasional Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in a secondary setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and mentor students in a secondary setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification in good standing
  • Intermediate Science qualification
  • Experience working with students in a secondary setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
