About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer - Backend Developer to join our team at Trackforce Valiant + TrackTik. As a key member of our development squad, you will collaborate with a talented team of software developers to design, scale, and deliver new features and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Tech Lead, Product Manager, and Scrum Master to ensure efficient delivery and maintain a healthy team dynamic.
  • Champion best practices in both design and coding, with a strong emphasis on quality, organization, and automation.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient backend systems using modern PHP frameworks, preferably Symfony.
  • Design and implement REST APIs, leveraging your expertise in Node JS and TypeScript.
  • Optimize relational databases, preferably MySQL, to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
  • Write comprehensive tests (Unit, Integration, and Functional tests) to ensure the quality and reliability of your code.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and prioritize features, and contribute to the development of new features and services.
Requirements
  • Experience with modern PHP frameworks, preferably Symfony.
  • Experience building REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of Node JS and TypeScript is a plus.
  • Practical experience optimizing relational databases, preferably MySQL.
  • Experience writing tests (Unit, Integration, and Functional tests).
  • Experience working in an agile environment/squad.
  • Ability to lead by example, influencing and mentoring junior developers.
  • Good communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills.
