Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at W-S Feed & Supplies Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to schedules.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, including tire checks, brake inspections, and equipment maintenance.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
  • Documentation: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and maintain accurate records.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management, and respond to customer inquiries and concerns.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license, DZ class license, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and Defensive Driving Course.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, reliability, and teamwork.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with regular overtime required. The position involves physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads and working in various weather conditions.
