Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in culinary arts or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role.

This position is set in an urban area, specifically within a fast-paced food outlet. You will be expected to thrive in a dynamic environment where attention to detail is crucial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals and individual dishes.
  • Conduct inspections of kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation and handling techniques.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and assistants to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and work areas.
  • Recruit and hire new kitchen staff as necessary.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow.
