Reporting to the Superintendent, the CCTV Inspection Operator plays a crucial role in collaborating with work crews on various projects. This position involves guiding and supporting teams, ensuring the quality and thoroughness of tasks completed, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of project operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a CCTV inspection vehicle to capture, record, and document the status and positioning of underground pipelines. Conduct pressure testing, flushing, and disinfection of pipes, with a solid understanding of water and sewer systems, including valves, manholes, and associated equipment. Supervise the activities of a Locator who assists with project-related tasks. Regularly complete and submit necessary reports and project data. Uphold and enforce safety protocols. Plan and implement projects efficiently, often without direct supervision. Coordinate tasks with fellow operators and supervisors. Maintain equipment in optimal working condition and perform minor repairs as needed. Conduct pre and post-trip inspections along with routine maintenance. Undertake additional related duties as required. Stay informed about changes in materials and techniques, adapting readily to new developments. Utilize a range of hand and power tools for underground utility work, as well as various heavy construction equipment and materials. Ensure proper slinging techniques for pipes and manhole barrels, adhering to safe work practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Qualifications & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. NASSCO PACP certification is mandatory. Valid Alberta Class 3 Operator's license with Q endorsement and a clean Driver's Abstract, in accordance with company policy. Proficient in pipe inspection software, as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Self-driven with the ability to work independently when necessary. Strong teamwork skills. Capable of adapting and resolving issues as they arise. Demonstrates enthusiasm for work, contributes innovative ideas, and engages with colleagues.
