The Fitness Equipment Maintenance Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the functionality and safety of fitness equipment in our resort-style facility. This position involves promptly addressing equipment malfunctions and performing routine maintenance to uphold safety standards. Additionally, you will collaborate with club management to oversee general repairs and facility upkeep, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional quality to our members and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures all fitness equipment operates safely and efficiently
- Maintains detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities
- Handles electrical systems, audio/video equipment, basic plumbing, and general facility maintenance tasks
- Conducts preventative maintenance to guarantee optimal equipment performance
- Manages purchase orders, procures necessary parts for repairs, and establishes timelines for delivery
- Assists the Department Head in budget management
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Fewer than 12 months of experience in a related field
- CPR/AED certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment
