Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Detect and Troubleshoot Irregularities: Identify and resolve issues with machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Accurately read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Repair and Replace Machinery Parts: Effectively repair or replace defective machinery parts to maintain equipment efficiency and safety.
  • Fabricate Parts and Components: Fabricate parts and components required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup using machining tools and equipment.
  • Estimate Costs and Materials: Accurately estimate costs and materials required for maintenance and repair projects to ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance work on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement.
  • Transportation: Own vehicle.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, team player, and attention to detail.
