Job Summary

As a Coop Work Experience Student - Data Analyst, Project Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting Supply Chain Management functions and initiatives at Alberta Health Services. This 7-month coop student position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, process mapping, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze contracting, purchasing, and supply chain data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Compile and analyze primary and secondary data from AHS' inventories and supply chain areas.
  • Process mapping and provide assistance in evaluating processes to identify opportunities to improve and streamline CPSM's processes and procedures.
  • Document all work completed, compile and report on findings, and present results to initiative stakeholders.
  • Develop operations reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), data models, and other analytical tools.
Requirements
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary cooperative education program.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to relate effectively to various levels of the organization.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including experience with the Microsoft Suite of applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supply chain management-focused major or minor.
  • Completed courses or work experience in the healthcare sector and/or knowledge of healthcare supply chain management.
  • Understanding of Oracle, SAP, or other procurement information systems.
  • Understanding of MS Project or Project Management Tracking Software.
