Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Elementary Counsellor to join our team at Maple Ridge - Pitt Meadows School District No.42. As a key member of our Safe and Caring Schools program, you will provide leadership and support to our school counsellors, helping them to deliver exceptional educational services to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Counselling Programs: Create and coordinate counselling handbooks, update protocols and policies, and provide training to school staff.
  • Build Community Partnerships: Foster strong connections with community organizations to enhance our students' educational experience.
  • Collaborate with School Teams: Work closely with school-based teams to provide guidance and support in counselling roles and practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A master's degree in counselling psychology or equivalent.
  • Successful experience in elementary classroom teaching and counselling.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a strong team.
