About the Role

Opligi Inc is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-precision parts and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dimensional Measurement and Tolerance Control: Compute and verify dimensions and tolerances of machine parts to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Workpiece Preparation: Measure and lay out workpieces in preparation for assembly, ensuring precise fit and finish.
  • Engineering Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Repair machine tools and parts, and maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Operation: Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, including automatic lathes, screw machines, and tool grinders.
  • Quality Control: Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced manufacturing environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and work in a physically demanding environment.
