Job Summary:
Axelon Services Corporation is seeking an experienced IT Business Systems Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our FX Risk Technology team, you will be responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical, and clear way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership for assigned projects, managing, coordination of execution plans, from the inception till production stage.
- Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple teams and other units to meet organizational objectives.
- Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems, and industry standards.
- Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives, and necessary system enhancements for complex, high impact projects.
- Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Provide in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decision.
- Distil complex information and present in concise terms to inform decision making and to enable direction & issue resolution.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working in the financial industry.
- Knowledge of FX and/or Rates or other Derivatives products.
- Understanding Trade Capture and Risk management is highly desirable.
- A proven track record of business analysis experience.
- A proven ability of using complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques.
- Strong investigation and data analysis skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and proven interpersonal skills with ability to partner and influence across organizational lines.
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to collaborate with a global team, across geographies and time zones.
- Data analysis with intermediate/advanced Python, SQL, Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Computer Science, Engineering or Technical background is an advantage.
- Quantitative analysis or portfolio management experience is nice to have.
