About the Role

Urban One Management Inc. is seeking a skilled Door Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Door Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing exterior and interior prefabricated products, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Repair: Install exterior and interior prefabricated products, including doors and other related components.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate installation.
  • Tool Utilization: Utilize hand and power tools to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
  • Layout and Measurement: Determine layout and installation procedures, and measure and mark guidelines for installations.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is on-the-road, with opportunities to work with a diverse team and contribute to the success of Urban One Management Inc.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Recruitment and Support: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster, providing them with opportunities for growth and development.
  • Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, helping them to integrate into the workforce.
  • Mentorship and Training: Offer mentorship programs and diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, helping them to succeed in their roles.
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees, creating a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Support for Visible Minorities
  • Hiring Practices: Apply hiring practices that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, creating a fair and inclusive work environment.
  • Mentorship and Training: Offer mentorship programs and diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
