Job Summary

Lock 8 Equipment is in search of a diligent and dependable Inventory and Order Management Specialist to become part of our team. This role involves a variety of responsibilities related to inventory oversight, shipping and receiving operations, and general warehouse upkeep. The ideal candidate should possess relevant experience and thrive in a dynamic work setting. The position requires proficiency in using computers for data entry into inventory management systems, the capability to lift heavy items, and occasional driving for deliveries.
Responsibilities:


· Safety Compliance: Consistently follow safety protocols to ensure a secure workplace.
· Customer Assistance: Address customer inquiries and transactions upon their arrival, delivering outstanding service.
· Telecommunications: Manage phone calls and emails, redirecting them as necessary while maintaining professionalism.
· Material Handling: Efficiently load and unload materials, ensuring timely and accurate inventory movement.
· Equipment Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain equipment to keep it in optimal condition.
· Manual Labour: Engage in manual tasks as required, supporting various warehouse functions.
· Quality Assurance: Adhere to quality management processes to guarantee accuracy and consistency in operations.
· Machinery Operation: Operate machinery and tools as needed for material handling.
· Workplace Organization: Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
· Supplier Relations: Communicate with suppliers regarding orders and inventory requirements.
· Shipping and Receiving: Weigh, pack, and arrange couriers for outgoing shipments, and accurately count and receive inventory.
· Order Fulfillment: Efficiently process customer orders through computer systems and manual packaging.
· Payment Handling: Manage payments for orders and maintain precise financial records.
· Stockroom Maintenance: Ensure the stockroom is orderly and inventory is readily accessible.
· Winter Maintenance: Assist with salting parking areas during winter months as needed.
· Cylinder Work Orders: Help process cylinder work orders, which may involve outdoor work in various weather conditions.
· Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational objectives.
· Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse success.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Capability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
  • General computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately read and follow instructions.
  • Physical strength and stamina for manual labor tasks.

  • Monitor the facility to ensure safety, security, and maintenance.
