We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to join our team at Prica Group Construction Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Mobilization
- Work closely with project managers to plan and coordinate the start of construction projects, including reviewing contractor scopes of work, planning mobilization, construction layout, and surveying.
- Develop and implement plans for temporary facilities, including layout, permits, and vendor coordination.
- Oversee site mobilization, including construction layout and surveying.
- Inspect adjacent constructions to ensure no conflicts or issues arise.
- Conduct kick-off procedures for construction activities.
- Monitoring and Execution
- Track daily progress on construction sites and record daily reports.
- Monitor the work of various teams, identify issues, and find solutions to keep projects on track.
- Execute project planning and scheduling of subcontractors on site.
- Conduct site meetings, ensuring sign-in and sign-out, action planning, and documentation.
- Inform project managers of anticipated delays or changes in scope of work.
- Ensure subcontractor work is compliant with contract specifications and drawings.
- Advise and reinforce quality control standards with trades.
- Ensure first aid and emergency response procedures are followed.
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Prica Group Health and Safety standards.
- Provide direction to Assistant Site Supervisors and Foremen.
- Demonstrate effective communication with project teams regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations, and project deviations.
- Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors.
- Record Keeping and Documentation
- Maintain detailed documentation of project aspects, including daily reports, time sheets, material deliveries, incident reports, and other relevant records.
- Ensure accurate records are kept to track progress and resolve site disputes.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Site Superintendent or Assistant Site Superintendent in low-rise and high-rise buildings.
- College diploma in a relevant construction-related field is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
- Working knowledge of all CSI Divisions.
- A solid understanding of all construction trades and construction techniques.
- Strong management, delegation, planning, and leadership skills.
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
- First Aid, Fall Arrest, and/or other relevant certificates are considered an asset.
- Effectiveness in construction safety and productivity.
- Knowledge of provincial workplace compliance regulations and legislation.
- Class G license.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and blueprints and equipment specifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, strong analytical skills, and detail-oriented.
- In-depth knowledge of the construction industry operations, specifically construction specifications, building materials, methods, and procedures.
