Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Security Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Safety and Security Organization in the security certification process for our rail projects. This includes:

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supporting the Safety and Security Organization in the security certification process for rail projects.
  2. Collaborating with customers to ensure the risk assessment status for physical and cyber security is up-to-date.
  3. Performing qualitative and quantitative risk assessments to identify potential security deficiencies and corrective actions.
  4. Interfacing with internal stakeholders to collect information and assess risk analysis.
  5. Managing threats and vulnerability analysis in compliance with APTA standards.
  6. Attending technical discussions with customers to review document submittals.
  7. Managing customer observations and updating the TVRA as a technical writer and verifier.
  8. Keeping updated the Project Security Log, Technical Security Reports, Systems Security Management Plan, and Security Management Report.
  9. Supporting the Safety and Security Organization in the management of Independent Safety Assessor.
  10. Creating and updating checklists using IBM DOORS to ensure all security requirements are properly implemented.
  11. Managing Verification and Validation of the implementation evidence to support the certification process throughout the design and commissioning stages.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security, engineering, or technical/physical science, with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in rail transit projects. Local experience is considered an asset. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, leadership, independence, and the ability to manage priorities.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Security, Engineering, or Technical/Physical Science.
  • Advanced degree such as MBA or MS preferred.
  • Professional affiliations, certificates, or awards are desirable.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with FTA Safety and Security Certification process.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, independence, and ability to manage priorities.
  • Skilled in interacting with direct and indirect reporting employees and with company managers.
  • Skilled in interacting with subcontractors and customers and their representatives.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong, self-motivated work ethic.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Proficiency in DOORS.
  • Proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to work on multiple demands simultaneously.
