Position:

The Engineering division at Allen-Vanguard is actively seeking a Systems Designer to become a vital member of the Threat Management Team (TMT) located in Ottawa, Ontario.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess and validate mission objectives for electronic countermeasure systems
  • Design and evaluate proxy devices
  • Execute over-the-air assessments of mission objectives
  • Generate comprehensive technical documentation
  • Engage in collaborative efforts across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Demonstrate independence while adhering to company protocols
  • Facilitate product showcases
  • Contribute to the establishment of new testing frameworks
  • Work alongside other teams for system integration and validation processes

Qualifications:

  • Possession of Canadian security clearance at Secret Level II
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communications Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Experience in a laboratory setting
  • Familiarity with RF testing apparatus
  • Proficient in hardware troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Understanding of radio communication principles and signal processing techniques
  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Python, Arduino, Simulink, and MATLAB
  • Willingness to travel internationally
