About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Maximum Home Support Services Inc. As a Home Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personal care and support to clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry.
  • Companionship: Provide companionship and social support to clients, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and watching movies.
  • Errands: Accompany clients on errands, such as grocery shopping and banking.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not necessary.
  • Certifications: A Certificate of Conduct and First Aid Certificate are required.
  • Security Clearance: A criminal record check and vulnerable sector check are required.
Work Environment

As a Home Support Worker, you will work in various locations, including clients' homes. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands
  • Weight Handling: You will be required to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Work Conditions: You will work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
Personal Qualities
  • Punctuality: You must be punctual and reliable.
  • Client Focus: You must be able to focus on the needs of clients and provide excellent care.
  • Dependability: You must be dependable and able to work independently.
Work Terms
  • Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Hours: You will work 2 to 40 hours per week, depending on client needs.
