Job Summary

The Nutrition Associate plays a vital role in the Food Service operation at Hamilton Health Sciences. This position requires a team player who can assist in all areas of food service, including patient meal selection, tray assembly, nourishment and enteral feeding preparation, and delivery to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect patient meal selections and assemble trays
  • Prepare nourishment and enteral feeding
  • Deliver meals and nourishment to patients
  • Collect trays and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Assist with diet changes and customer service

Requirements

  • Ability to bend, lift, and push
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills with Nutrition Services, unit staff, and supervisors
  • Ability to function in a team environment
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Food handlers certificate
