Position Overview

The role of the Project Geologist in exploration involves a range of responsibilities crucial to the advancement of mining initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in both surface and underground drilling operations.
• Support exploration activities and the development of mining projects.
• Conduct detailed descriptions of drill cores and execute surface geological mapping.
• Continuously update and monitor geological interpretations.
• Oversee departmental financials, including invoices and expenditure tracking.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, particularly in health and safety matters.
• Carry out additional related duties as necessary.

Required Qualifications

• A degree in geology or geological engineering from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of five years' experience within the mining industry.
• Knowledge of the Quebec mining titles management system is a plus.
• Experience with MDM software (Deswick), GED, and ArcGIS is essential.
• Bilingual proficiency is advantageous.
• Must be registered or in the process of registration with the Quebec Order of Geologists or Engineers.

Working Conditions

• Standard work schedule of 40 hours per week, following a 4 days on, 3 days off rotation.
• Flexible work environment, combining remote work with on-site presence as required.
