Job Title: Assistant Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Cook to join our team at Ricky All Day Grill. As an Assistant Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, inspecting kitchens and food service areas, training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, supervising kitchen staff and helpers, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and cleaning kitchen and work areas.

Work Setting

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of organization and reliability. You will be a team player who is able to work effectively with others to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The work environment is fast-paced, with repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods. You will be required to work under pressure and maintain a high level of organization and reliability.
